FAQs

Asking detailing questions brings you to your best decision

Q:  Do you clean leather interior?

A:  Yes.  We use only one of the top brands in the market, because the quality is worth the cost.  Here’s why:

    • Balanced formula falls within the pH range of leather
    • Safely deep cleans leather in an alkaline free state
    • Foaming action breaks up and removes oils that trap dirt in leather
    • Glycerin provides residual softness following cleaning

Q: Where are you located?

A:  RAD is a mobile service, which gives you great convenience and savings in time and money by not having to drive from home or work to wait in line for 45 minutes to have your car washed, which is different than detailing, in 15 minutes.  We drive to you at home or your office.

Q: I don’t have a water hook up, is that OK?

A:  RAD not only doesn’t use your water source, but brings de-ionized soft water that is gentle on your car and leaves no water spots.

Q: How long will the detailing take?

A:  Depending on the type of vehicle, choice of package (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum), and condition of the car, detailing will take at least 1 hour and could be as long as 6 hours.

Q:  What if it rains the same day as I had my car detailed?

A:  While we cannot offer to completely redo your car, we keep in contact with clients, and if it is calls for rain there is no penalty for having to reschedule.  We also offer a discount on your next detail if it rains within 24 hours of your detail and you contact us in that same time period.

Q:  What methods of payment do you take?

A: We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and Credit Cards.  However there is a small fee for using a credit card.

Q:  How often should I wash my car?

A:  RAD details cars, which is different than washing them.  Detailing provides a deep cleanse for the car and it is suggested that your vehicle should be done once or twice a month.  This keeps rubber seals from dry rotting, helps the paint stay fresh, and helps keep a germ free environment inside the vehicle.

Q:  Do you take special care for cars that are wrapped?

A:  Yes. RAD uses special shampoo when detailing cars that are wrapped and never uses high pressure water on any area of the vehicle.

Q: Why is your work better than others?

A:  I come from generations of cleaners that paid strict attention to detail.  Believe it or not there is an art to detailing and cleansing anything.  It starts with a trained eye, attending to detail, and having a passion for your work.

Q: Can you remove minor scratches?

A:  Yes. RAD can remove minor scratches and will let you in on the secret, if a scratch or scuff will come out.  If you take your finger nail across the mark and it gets stopped at all chances are the mark is too deep.

Q: Do you clean engines?

A:  Yes.  While this is mainly a surface cleanse for appearance, it has the benefit that if a mechanic opens your hood he gets the idea you know your car and he may be more inclined to take special care.  Also, if you have to get under there in a pinch to check or add oil you don’t get dirty.

Q:  Can I do a review of Resilient Auto Details services?

A:  Yes.  It is very much appreciated if you give an honest and open review of RAD that allows us to see where we stand with our clients.  After all services are performed a brief review is helpful to us and to other consumers.

Q:  Can you remove stains from children and pets.  Also can you get out pet hair.

A:  Yes.  We can remove many stains completely, and others to a great extent, depending on the length of time they have sat, where they are located, and what the stains consists of.  RAD also removes pet hair; the type of hair determines the cost of the removal since some short hair pet breeds can leave hair that may take an hour or more to remove completely.

Q:  Why should I have my car detailed?

A:  With detailing in general, the goal is not only to clean, but to  remove minor imperfections and help protect your finish from the elements. Think of the exterior of a vehicle as skin. If you never wash or moisturize, eventually it will start to fade and crack.

Q: Do you use foam to clean the outside of the car

A: Yes RAD Does use a foam canon.  It allows a much more thorough coating of soap to get applied to the vehicle, then dwell on the car and start to loosen the dirt.

Q: Does RAD detail motorcycles?

A:  Currently RAD does not detail motorcycles.
